Ceiling Track Guide

A fixed ceiling lift track is a system designed to help lift and move individuals safely and efficiently. This type of patient handling equipment is often used in healthcare settings, such as hospitals and nursing homes, as well as in home care settings or rehabilitation facilities. As a fixed lift, the ceiling track is mounted to the ceiling, along which a motorized or manual lift can traverse and allows caregivers to transfer patients or individuals with mobility challenges without physical strain.

How do I know what ceiling track is installed?

There are mainly 5 types of tracks that are used with fixed ceiling lifts. Below offers details on how to identify which track type you have.

No is the typical answer. More often than not, when it is time to replace your existing lift, Mackworth makes it easy. Understanding that fixed track installation should be a one-time process unless track is damaged, our fixed ceiling lifts offer multiple track trolleys that work with any of the 5 track types shown above.  Simply identify your track using our dimension guidelines above and we will send your new lift with the appropriate trolley so all you have to do is remove the old lift and slide in the new one without having to install a new track system.
