Mackworth USA brings over 35 years of safe patient handling and movement experience with a focus on making caregiving easier through quality products and services. Our ceiling lift and gantry systems are manufactured in partnership with UK-based Prism Healthcare Ltd., who has been developing products for the safe patient handling and movement industry since 1984.

Under the Mackworth name, the ceiling lifts and gantry systems you have known for years are back. Whether replacing older, end of life ceiling lifts or requiring new lifting solutions, rest assured that Mackworth will deliver the same quality and expertise you have known for years.

Who is Mackworth USA?

  • Mackworth USA is the master distributor for Mackworth (UK) for the United States.
  • Mackworth (UK) is the Patient Moving and Handling division of Prism Healthcare UK, a multi-national group that designs, manufactures, installs, and maintains medical products.
  • In 2014, Prism Healthcare UK was sold by its parent Prism Medical Ltd. Canada and became independent, resulting in a non-compete to sell product into the USA and Canada which expired in 2020 and prohibiting the use of the Prism name in the USA and Canada in perpetuity.
  • Today, Mackworth USA is owned and operated out of St. Louis, Missouri by Charley Wallace and former employees of Prism Medical USA, Inc.
