1984

Westholme: A legacy of Innovation

Our story begins with Westholme, a renowned moving and handling manufacturer based in the UK. Founded in 1984, Westholme quickly established itself as a pioneer in the field of overhead lifts.

2000

Prism Medical UK

In 2000, Prism Medical UK was formed via the acquisition of Westholme, a move that combined the strengths of both organizations and expanded our capabilities on a global scale.

2014

Prism Healthcare Group

The Prism Healthcare group is formed and Prism Medical UK transitions from a Canadian Public corporation to a privately held company via a management buyout backed by LDC.

2020

Prism Non-Compete Expires

PMUK had a non-compete to sell product into the USA and Canada which expired in 2020 The name Prism is prohibited for use in the USA and Canada in perpituity.

Mackworth USA Launches

Owned and operated out of St. Louis by Charley Wallace and former employees of Prism Medical USA, Inc. Located in St. Louis, MO. Focus on ceiling track lift systems and slings. Products manufactured by Prism Healthcare UK.
